Ngaruwanajirri

Ngaruwanajirri is based at Wurrumiyanga (formerly Nguiu) on Bathurst Island. The Tiwi word means ‘Helping one another’ and the art centre and Keeping Place was set up in 1994 to support artists with a disability. It currently supports around 16 artists and features ochre and watercolour works on paper.
